This online class provides expectant mothers and their partners the content and strategies they need to get breastfeeding off to a good start. A combination of videos, 3D animation and explanations will provide you with critical concepts and skills, including:
• How breastfeeding works
• Strategies for a great milk supply
• Breastfeeding holds and positions
• Skills to achieve a comfortable latch
• Hunger cues
• Signs of swallowing and milk transfer
• The role of breast pumps
• Breast care
• Partner support and involvement
• Returning to work
Along with the online content, students will have phone or email access with our experienced educators to answer questions you may have. It is a wonderful opportunity to receive reassuring, accurate information from a local educator.
